Plume Property Question

One of the "properties" for the Plume element is "Amount of release" and it is a number with two decimal points. What is this based on?

I would like to know what we should put in that property as far as the number goes, and what the number relates to.

If I put 543.27, just what is that indicating?

Plume "Amount of Release" property

The amount of release is just a relative number that allows users to create plumes of different sizes while keeping the other arguments (wind speed and elapsed time) constant. The plume element is not based on any scientific model and should not be considered an accurate representation. We are working on incorporating the ALOHA HAZMAT Plume generation model as a possible add-on to a future edition of Depiction.
