Imported 53 locations, Program only show 10

Hi, I created a spread sheet for all of the Fire Depts in my area.  there are 53 seperate addresses and names.  I had each column as "Department name, address, city, state, zip"  the program says that it has 53 different locations, but only 10 show on the map.  I have deleted and reinstalled it 3 times, and it never changes.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Addresses

Change the column titled "Address" to read "Street Address" and I think you'll find it will geocode more of them to their correct locations. Depiction intereprets the column header "Address" as containing the entire location info for the element.

Yes, that worked great.  All 53 are on the map.   So are you saying that we have to title our  fields to exactly match the field names that we are importing to?

thanks,

field names

Pretty much. For more detail see the Help file under "Using Depiction" and "Importing from Spreadsheets". That will give you column titles you need in your CSV files.

The CSV file can contain any other columns of data you want it to have. Depiction will import those and show them in the Element Properties.

Try export 1, edit, import many

The .csv import is a little picky about headings, etc.

Something I have used is to export a single element (like a fire station).

Then the column headings will all be correct.

Then open the file in Excel and add as many rows of data as you want - you don't need to fill in every field either.   You will need address information or location information for each so they show up in the right place.
