Error on Startup

I keep getting the following message when starting Depiction  - any suggestions?

Depiction Error

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Error on Startup

On September 8th, 2009 George says:

Mark,

Open a command window (Run... cmd at the Start Menu), then put in:

regsvr32 “C:\Program Files\Depiction Inc\Depiction\SSCprot.dll”

You should get a message that the file was successfully registered, and then be able to run Depiction.

If this does not work, uninstall Depiction (ignore the warning message), and reinstall. You can get the latest install file at http://www.depiction.com/download

same Startup issue

 I'm having this very same issue.  When I followed Goerge's fix here, the “C:\Program Files\Depiction Inc\Depiction\SSCprot.dll” file does not exist in that location.  I did find a Interop.SSCprot.dll there though.  It won't register though if I try using it.  Any other advise?

DLL location

On October 23rd, 2009 George says:

The DLL location has actually changed: my apologies for not posting that. It is now:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Depiction\SSCprot.dll
Try the regsvr32 -u, then regsvr32 there.

Up and running now

I'm up and running now.  I found the new location of the dll file through a Google search.  I unregistered it and then registered the dll and everything started working fine.  Thanks.
