Windows Mobile and GPS Support
The depiction program is a good piece of software to plan for a disaster, but if it was available for windows mobile as well as on the PC, and if had GPS support to go with it, a person would be able to pull up their disaster map to find out where they are, and to find out how to get to safety while they were actually in the disaster.
I realize that a laptop is technically portable, but it is not as durable as a cell phone, and it is not always feasible to charge/bring a laptop during a disaster.
With my suggestion out of the way, I'd like to point out that depiction is some really cool software to tinker around with, and that it makes planning for disaster fun. (who would've guessed it possible?) Unfortunately, the $90 price tag means after my free trial is over, I won't be using the program again, unless maybe, just maybe, the depiction team could give a poor college student some free software for (what I think is) a really useful feature suggestion.

Mobile and GPS Support
Costello,
Thank you for your compliments. We hope many people will find Depiction useful in planning for disaster and other scenarios.
We have, unfortunately for your bid for a free copy, discussed the idea of a mobile app and GPS functionality. Our intent, however, is for Depiction to be used before a disaster to plan for the potential outcomes, thus the features available in version one. Some of our users have taken Depiction to disaster scenes (see our Case Studies page via the News page), and used it with great success (one with his laptop plugged into a truck).
Thanks again!
George
