During the recent flooding disaster in Washington State, I volunteered at the Snohomish County Emergency Operations Center and used Depiction to maintain a current "picture" of what was happening: mapping road closures, dike breeches, shelter activations, reports of flooded neighborhoods, etc to provide the EOC leadership with improved situational awareness. The screenshot at right is representative of the geographic "sitreps" I provided using Depiction, and was used to brief the pilots who flew the County Executive on his helicopter tour of the County.
