Howard Hanson Dam & Green River Flooding
Just today, King County declared an emergency in anticipation of flooding from the leaking Howard Hanson Dam. (Gary posted here about the Howard Hanson Dam sinkhole back in February).
Our own Kim Buike, creator of such hit Depiction videos as Danger on the Delta and Olympic Security Planning, has another fantastic video out, depicting the potential impact of the flooding Green River as the Army Corps of Engineers lets more water through of the dam.
Using Depiction, maps from the City of Auburn, and other outside data, the video shows the parts of Auburn at the most risk, and the sensitive locations that will require special attention.
The video is being used by the Auburn Reporter to illustrate their article about the situation. If you would like to learn more, download the depiction file (24.5 mb) used in the video. The file will require a copy of Depiction to run, either a purchased full copy or a free 30-day trial.
